Jesus said “I am the Life” (John 14:1–7 )

Every spring in Japan, cherry blossom trees bloom with soft pink flowers. People gather in parks with family and friends to enjoy their beauty. But the blossoms do not last long. After a short time, the petals fall, and the trees become green again. Because of this, many people think about how life can be beautiful, but also short and uncertain.

In the Bible, Jesus Christ speaks to His disciples in John 14:1–7. They are worried because He is going away. He tells them, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” He says that He will prepare a place for them, so they can be with Him. Then He says, “I am the life.”

Jesus is saying that real life comes from Him. It is not only physical life for a short time. It is a deeper life—a life with God that continues forever. Even when people feel afraid or uncertain, Jesus gives peace because He gives this true life.

Cherry blossoms are beautiful, but they quickly fade. Jesus offers a life that does not fade. When we trust Him, we can have peace, even when life feels short or uncertain
